The media lies. It lies when the facts don’t favor it. It lies because it’s lazy. It lies because its new generation of journalists graduated from schools where the very concept of truth didn’t even exist.
Mostly it lies because it has no incentive to tell the truth.
The media is a declining institution patronized by lefties who agree with it. Its motive force is churning out clickbait to maximize its audience share on the left. And the left agrees with everything on the left.
This echo chamber doesn’t produce journalism. It churns out fake news, backed by fake statistics, fake experts, in the service of political causes.

The situation is very different from Rwanda, but IIRC, Bill Clinton basically said (after the dust had settled in Rwanda), "Golly, if I'd known they were killin' all those people I sure woulda done something."

I imagine that the Democrats will have a similar response to South Africa after it's too late to do anything there. In the meantime, they will just quietly support the current ethnic cleansing.

Trump broke the taboo - he revealed the truth about the black South Africans killing Whites and stealing their farms. The media immediately went to work lying, trying to repair the damage.

They are deliberately and intentionally lying. They know about the murders and theft.

I had a Zulu roommate in college in the early 80’s. Christian and believed that Christian based education was the only way to equalize society. Was directly related to the king, and was always concerned that he would be recalled in case of internal war or assassination.

South Africa, especially under the ANC, was never like the US, or the Netherlands, or London, etc.

The important thing in all of this is that the ANC was largely trained by the Communists of the old Soviet Union. That is why their rhetoric, their dodges, their tactics, their propaganda sounds like communist lies. They are old-style communists.

Of course the Soviets could then have cared less about Africa. South Africa was a strategic location for the West and so had to be undermined. Creating havoc and chaos is what the Soviets did, directly or through their Cuban proxies. That they were in league with our communists and academics (I am being redundant here) is all part of the bargain.
