I agree...and I know good ones. Some of them have working on my roof, my upholstery, my painting, my yard. And sone of the are exemplary workers. But is it worth the risk? I had Mexican maids who stole about 17k worth of things from me, my daughter’s house was broken into in Seattle by illegals who are now in jail and she’s still tying to recover her things. My husband had a u-haul broken into in California and lost many items many of them irreplaceable. As I said - is it worth the risk?
Yesterday I had some yard work done and 2 Americans showed up - I was so relieved.
Understand one thing: Mexicans hate Americans. Believe I know. I’ve worked in construction for years and I’ve learned their act well. They put on that cheery, humble routine as it suits them but when there is enough of them in any area the veneer comes off. Go to Mexico and identify as an American and see how you’re treated. For all of the Mexicans you had working for you means that some legitimate , taxpaying America contractor was under bid and forced out of business. I didn’t grow up in an America where I had to press 1 for English. Mexicans somehow have this institutionalized notion that the success of America is the reason for the failure of Mexico, that somehow we ‘’stole’’ all this wealth from them.
So long as The United States does little or nothing to really crack down on not only the illegals who break in here and the industry devoted to their doing it and just as important the contractors and business’s that hire them there will be no end to this violation of our country. And as long as this continues Mexico and it’s people will never change in their negative view and their hatred of us. I’ve said here many times that if Mexicans would put just half the energy into fixing their country that they do into destroying America then maybe someday Mexico would be a place Mexicans don’t have to run away from.
This is why they come because law breaking people like you HIRE them. You should be arrested for breaking the law and fined accordingly.
