The last few weeks with this type of cancer, the patient is pretty much sleeping, in no pain, lose ability to take food, lose body movements, talk, sometimes lose their sight, they can hear people talking, but mostly asleep in a comatose state.

I think they stopped treatment way before yesterday.

Isn’t that amazing. So much pain leading up to it, but painless in the final days.

You're right. My sister had lung cancer. Entered hospice care on July 1, 2011. By the last week of August, she was comatose and died on her birthday, September 2nd. Hadn't been taking nourishment or fluids of any kind for over a week before she passed.
