Here is uncomfortable truth, white people don’t really hang around or live around blacks. Even in NYC, whites fake being diverse. In reality they’re not close to other ethnic groups outside of casually associating with black or brown people at a bar/restaurant or some social event like a street art fair.
Yet they like to blabber on about and pat themselves on the back for being culturally diverse.
It always makes me chuckle when the media breathlessly reports stories about white people supposedly going to black areas and spray painting slurs on their houses or grabbing them off the street and peeing on them.
Like, no. We try not to deal with people who hate us unless we have to, and we’re not taking out time in between going to work and being with our families to worry about screwing with blacks, Hispanics or Muslims.
Most people just want to be left alone to live their lives.
I remember hearing back in the 60s that in the South, white folk didn't care how close blacks got, as long as they didn't get too big...while in the North, whites didn't care how big they got as long as they didn't get too close.
I agree, I dont have time to go out of my way to hurt another race of people. and even the people I know who dont like blacks don’t go out of their way to interact with blacks. and The few black people I interact with are decent husbands and fathers with wives and kids and grand kids and sons and daughter who are the same kind of teens everyone has. So yes, i agree, I believe most hate crimes are perpetrated by the person themselves. Or someone of the same race trying to scare someone for whatever reason. Or some mental midget with a grudge against another race looking for any reason to start a race war.
