Tom Frieden, former head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, was arrested Friday in New York amid allegations he groped a woman in his apartment.
According to New York Police Department, he was charged with forcible touching, sexual abuse and harassment after he inappropriately touched a woman in October 2017. The woman reported the incident in July, police said.
It is unclear if he has an attorney. He is expected to appear in court later Friday.
Frieden was the CDC director from 2009 to 2017, leading the agency during the Ebola epidemic. Prior to that, he served as New York City Health Commissioner.
Frieden is currently president and CEO of the global health non-profit Resolve to Save Lives.

Resolve to Save Lives???? Must be nothing but a figurehead at both that and the CDC since he hasn’t a clue how Ebola is spread. See my years old tagline.
Hey! .. He was testing out a new treatment procedure!
Resolve to Grab Ass..
Sorry, it sure comes across as a set up by a woman rejected to me. It took her how many months to decide a butt grab rose to an occasion of abuse? BS.
I agree. I dont care if he was obungholes butt wiper. This is a set up.
Of course stuff like that *does* happen and should be punished when it does. But false accusations (which happen at least occasionally) are repugnant.
Ive never diddled a woman on the job.
There are guys who dont know enough to keep their pants zipped.
Maybe he tripped and was trying a catch his balance. This story, no matter how you readi it, is ridiculous.
I see was in his apartment - not on the job.
I thought a guy always got a free pass and a woman could rebuff further advances.
This is BS.
Yup.
Its male nature to pursue a sexual advance with a woman.
That should never be considered a crime - were not talking about rape here.
If she didnt like what he did, she could have just not seen him again.
This is an incident to ruin a mans life over.
Yet another LIB/DIM asshat continuing the LIB “war on women”.
