U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will visit North Korea again next week to try to persuade it to abandon its nuclear weapons, and will take a new U.S. special representative, Stephen Biegun, with him in an attempt to break the deadlock.
Pompeo on Thursday named the Ford Motor Co executive, a veteran Republican foreign policy hand, as the U.S. special envoy to North Korea.
“Steve will direct U.S. policy towards North Korea and lead our efforts to achieve President Trump’s goal of the final, fully verified denuclearization of North Korea as agreed to by Kim Jong Un,” Pompeo told reporters, referring to the North Korean leader.
“He and I will be traveling to North Korea next week to make further diplomatic progress towards our objective,” Pompeo said....

Mike Pompeo seems to be one of the best appointments the president has made thus far. Nikki Haley being a close second. Scott Pruitt was very helpful shrinking the EPA until his unrelated spending became a problem. Betsy Devos is doing her best with the Dept. of Education, in spite of labor unions organizing dissent.
This group helps to make up for a number of misfires, latent boobytraps and stinkbombs, like Omarosa, Tillerson and Sessions. I never hear anything AT ALL about Rick Perry.
Well there's 4 reasons for that: 1) He's quiet 2) He's under the radar 3) Uh, er EPA or Education, uh where was I?
Rick Perry will never live that ‘Brain Freeze’ down.

Rick said that he could name at least three categories of government that he would eliminate as president. He could only name two before losing his place. “Oops!”
This is way back, when Herman Cain looked like a good bet.
Having served two tours in Korea, I like what President Trump is doing.
I wonder if the Ford guy is there to talk about helping North Korea create car plants to get their country some prosperity and help them decide that peace makes more sense.
