When my son lost his job a few years back, he applied for medical coverage for his wife & kids. The state told him he wasn’t qualified because he WAS working - in FIVE states! At the same time!

As a life long resident of the greater Lost Angeles area I can predict that what will come of this is you will be told it’s a “Civil Matter” and your homeowner’s insurance will pay for the damage then either raise your premiums or decline to renew because you had a claim.

The perpetrator will, or already has made arrangements to move to a new location In the US with a new identity. The car will be sold on lien sale auction by the tow yard and there will be a slew of official mail from the court and DMV sent to the perp’s last known address that will go unanswered or returned marked with “not at this address.”

However if you are an illegal alien I’m sure there is some type of victim’s rights agency expressly created to get you a cornucopia of Government assistance and benefits to get you through this and the rest of your life on the taxpayer’s dime.

I believe employers try to fake due diligence by using the SS system...instead of E-Verify.
Probably no criminal background checks on the SS system...pretty easy for illegals to steal a complete identity.

As far back as 1978, I worked as a payroll supervisor for an agricultural operation.

When I took the job over, I demanded that every new hire the farm managers hired had to have a W-4 along with a copy of the social security card & the I-9 & no exceptions. You should have heard the screaming. I said-—NO copies-—NO paycheck.

He had a valid out of state ID and matching SS card. The employer ran it through the computer, and the guy cleared.

There’s more than one crime being committed here.

Where did he get the ID, the social security card, and how did it clear?

Did he buy it from somebody? How did it happen?

In the past I've often gone to a Chinese restaurant that's regularly frequented by Latino workers, many of them probably illegal. I've stopped because of what they have done to the mens' room. They frequently dispose of used toilet paper in the trash cans and have carved images of sex organs, mostly male, on the inside of all the toilet stalls. This indicates a degraded third world mentality, no respect for their surroundings, and a substantial desire to satisfy their sexual urges in ant-social ways, including rape.

Turning to this "hard worker" it's pretty easy to see why he was obsessively following and stalking Mollie: he was planning to rape her. Now his bail has been increased to 5 million dollars, half the amount charged Paul Manafort, and the authorities haven't released the autopsy results. My present guess is he raped her and followed up by brutally murdering her, the details being so shocking that the authorities are reluctant to release them.

It seems like the employer might be trying to be a little deceptive here. I believe there are two systems available. The one used in this case is designed to simply verify that the social security number under inquiry is a valid number. Five hundred people can be using the same number and all will pass this inquiry if the number itself is valid. The other (E-Verify) is designed to verify that the individual applying for a job is actually eligible to work in the United States.

You don't get the correct information without asking the correct questions. Sort of like using a thermometer to measure how many gallons are in a bucket and then blaming the thermometer when you get caught.
