Cruz has never taken ownership of the hysterical Never Trumper “resistance” that his campaign gave birth to. A lot of Trump supporters are still lukewarm to him. He’s been MIA most of the past two years in DC instead of being a powerful ally of POTUS. That is his choice and now he is paying the price for it.
Right. I am one of those “lukewarm” GOP voters who will have to use an industrial strength clothespin to vote for him. He is not likable and has kept his Never Trumpers on the string and has not been supportive of the President at all.
I know several of these Cruzlims and they never have a good thing to say about our President. They love it when they door knock and people say they hate the President. I blame Cruz for this attitude.
Our State Party Chair was the leader of the “Free the Delegates” movement at the convention and although he professes party loyalty he has filled his state party posts with Libertarians and Never Trumpers.
