I couldn’t agree more, she’s essentially a mindless nobody that’s been uplifted out of a small district into the national spotlight. But think of it, that’s how obama got started, and look where he wound up, and being elected twice.
The MSM wing of the rat party was very successful at promoting the mindless wonder (obama) with an empty slogan (Hope & Change) that had zero substance.

The leftists publicize everything about her because she's an excellent poster child for them. She's young, attractive, spews the socialist party line. They think she is helping them, and maybe she is among the shallow, economically ignorant demographic.
Conservatives, publicize her many of the same reasons - she's a poster child for the socialists. She's helping conservatives virtually every time she opens her mouth.
On at least one level I support her. I think government needs more "real" people and far fewer career politicians. The problem is, she is simply far too ignorant to be put in a position of power.
For any lib lurkers out there I can almost hear your feeble thought processes immediately click over to "Ah, there it is, he's a sexist, he doesn't think women belong in power, or because she has a Hispanic name and he's racist..." Nope, jump back from those conclusions and any others you've been conditioned to respond to.
I don't like Ocasio-Cortez simply because of what she says. She's a socialist. Socialism sucks, it has a 100% failure rate at creating happy prosperous societies. It does have a 100% success rate at creating misery. Socialism requires power, totalitarianism and/or fascism in order to impose it on people who only want freedom and liberty.
I don't like her, or any other socialists simply because we cannot afford to suffer her attempts to impose socialism on us while she learns some hard economic realities. The true value of an education is that it allows you to learn from the experiences - both mistakes and triumphs - of others without having to go through them yourself. She needs an education in economics, history, and political science. While the idea of an average working person representing us in government is appealing, the on-the-job training that must come along with it to dispel all the nice sounding but wildly impractical and dangerous ideas that come with it are not worth it.
The US was more socialist than ever before for 8 years under bammy. Look how we suffered economically. Thank {Diety} for President Trump. Not only is saving us economically, he has helped divert us away from some of the more horrible power and control elements that were coming - the police state that bammy hinted at. We were on the edge of a very real, very dark precipice.

I agree 100%. She’s a candidate for Congress. That’s it. Most of them get zero media coverage. But she’s a (sometimes) telegenic young Latina who says all the right Socialist / woke things and that makes her a Leftwing media star. And the Rightwing media is happy to play along because she makes a bunch of gaffes that they can play up and mock. I actually have some sympathy for her. She’s a young woman running for office who is going to have naive ideas and make mistakes. Left and Right media should dial down the coverage of her and let her run as a normal candidate without watching her every move.
I don’t know, it seems to me that she’s a perfect foil for every idiotic democrat/socialist idea and the consequences of its implementation. I say keep following her, keep quoting her and keep showing what the actual effects of such policies are. Could even be a coloring book for kids!
