Not a word from the #AmnestyGangOfFive. @Sen.JohnMcain @JeffFlake and my opponent Martha McSally have openly criticized @realDonaldTrump but are silent when an American is killed by an illegal alien....
(Excerpt) Read more at twitter.com ...
(2) She still voted for Trump's agenda 90% of the time and has vowed to support his judges and immigration policies
(3) We need to hold Congress by any means necessary. Any conservative staying home this mid-term should be tarred and feathered
(4) Ward already had her chance. She's a loser, she has scant legislative experience, and will get crushed in the general
“If Ward loses as expected, she needs to bury the hatchet and get behind McSally.”
And if Ward wins? Will the GOP-E & the Mormons who resent her knocking Flake out of the race - who is more conservative than McSally - will THEY fall behind the GOP candidate? Will the Cheap Labor types who run the AZ GOP throw their money behind Ward, or sit on their hands?
Yet with that "name recognition," Ward is still trailing both McSally and Arpaio. She got soundly beaten by McCain, with NO other primary candidates in the race in 2016.
McSally is a McPain/Flake loving RINO who refused to endorse Trump and distanced herself from him, during the 2016 election.
You people keep repeating this but it has no bearing on Trump or his supporters. Lots of people trashed Trump only to come to his side and vote for his agenda - like McSally has done 90% of the time. Leah Vikmur in WI here was a Never Trumper, made disparaging comments about Trump. She won her primary handily and was still endorsed by Trump. So unless if it's human excrement like John Kasich, this doesn't count.
The only reason she's voted for his agenda is because she wants the Senate seat. She'll become another Rubio, once elected
McSally was elected in 2014.
So she secretly knew Trump was going to be elected and decided to become a conservative prior to him running?
Actually, McSally has voted for the Trump Agenda 97.8% of the time, according to https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/congress-trump-score/house/, which puts her in a tie for 32nd highest, out of the current 435 House members.
(Only 6 Dems are above 50%, 4 of those over 60%... the top 2 are Cuellar TX-28 at 68.9% and Peterson MN-7 at 67.4%... and no Dem is over 70%. There is only 1 GOP below 50%... Walter Jones, NC-3, at 49.3%)
NOTE: Kyrsten Sinema, AZ-9, and McSally's likely opponent for the Senate seat, is the 4th-most pro-Trump-Agenda Democrat in the House, at 60.3%, according to that page.
Yes, and Trump was elected in 2016.
President Trump has great popularity ratings and McSally reads them so she votes the way she does but her 2016 distancing and earlier criticism of Trump reminds us she is in the McConnell-Ryan RINO camp that will turn against Trump on a dime.
If she thinks the media and or Mueller are denting the POTUS popularity and fears he is in the slightest bit of trouble she will put out the long knife and put it in Donald Trump’s back.
Ward doesn’t kiss MSM backside or dance to their tune.
Then conservatives, the GOPe, and McSally should support her then.
Screw pragmatism. I’m sick of backstabbing RINOs and their leftist agenda that has destroyed this country for decades on end. You may love them (and insulting the people of Alabama, for which you didn’t apologize the other night), but I’ve had it with them.
It’s time to elect an unapologetic Conservative Senator.
Screw Marfa and her merry band of RINO open borders morons and apologists.
Go Kelli Ward !
Funny thing is it popped up right after the announcement that they charged the illegal alien with that young girl's murder. Seems to me someone is going way overboard in their attacks on her.
Not sure if that's panic on McSally's side or just making sure the nail is driven into Ward's coffin. It seems like SOP for McSally's campaign as her own ads show badly doctored quotes making it looks like President Trump is all in on her candidacy.
Look, I agree with you. And as I said, if human debris like John Kasich or if even Flake was running, I'd be backing someone like Ward against him in a heartbeat.
But in this context, IN THIS RACE, the term RINO or Never Trumper doesn't apply. McSally is a two-term Congresswoman. She is a former fighter pilot. She has a record where she voted for Trump's agenda over 90%.
Voters want someone who has some legislative experience and will look out for them. McSally's past anti-Trump remarks are actually a good thing. Those independents and even Democrat voters will look at her and give her that edge.
Meanwhile, Ward has sold-out to the Club for Growth, Conservative Inc. types. Running as a hard-charging conservative isn't going to cut it. In fact, Trump's election has completely changed the political landscape. You've got to have some belief that Social Security should be funded and big corporations should be reined in now. You know what they say about the Far Left and the Far Right...they eventually start having coitus with each other.
I believe McSally will support Trump's judges. She will back the rest of his agenda. If she doesn't, then you gear up in 2024 and give her the boot. Ward isn't strong enough to win the general.
If you agreed with me, you’d stop pimping Marfa McQueeg.
BTW, where’s that apology from the other night ? It’s hard to take someone seriously when they write something so vile, and your pontificating on how important it is to elect a RINO lacks any moral authority.
Yeah, they should...but they won't. At least not the GOPe and McSally.
Sorry but I already got suckered into voting for McCain the last general. I have regretted it ever since. I will vote for McSally in the general if she wins, but I will be voting for Kelli Ward in the primary. Why would it matter? It's not like Sheriff Joe is gonna win - it will be either Ward or McSally against Sinema. I refuse to base my vote on whether someone thinks a candidate can attract the magical "independent" voters.
I'm not pimping anybody. My loyalty is with Trump and keeping Congress in GOP hands.
I am pointing out THE FACT that Ward lost a Senate race in 2016 (head-to-head, no other primary challengers) against a beatable statist who should have retired after losing to Obama.
McSally's statements against Trump are not the same as Flake's. Unlike Flake and McCain, she didn't make these statements while she was a Congresswoman and Trump was already President. She made them during the 2016 election.
Lots of people, from Mark Levin on down, talked crap about Trump. Yet, now they will go to the mat for him.
McSally, in this particular race, is the best possible candidate who will both support Trump and keep the seat in GOP hands.
Good to hear! But Ward is bitter and will not support McSally in the General.
And McSally won't be bitter and will support Ward in the general?
Oh, are you part of the Psychotic Friends Network?
Seriously - do you LIVE in AZ? McCain in AZ is equivalent to the nitwit Bob Casey in PA. It's name recognition. I would bet that if McCain was running now after all his anti-Trump rhetoric and his betrayal on Obamacare repeal I could beat him in the primary.
