I don't know what you have been reading but had Manafort been convicted on all 18 counts and had he gotten the maximum then he would have gotten 15 to 20 years. With what he was convicted of and given the sentencing guidelines then he's probably looking at less than 5.


If convicted on all 18 counts, Manafort could be sentenced to more than 300 years in prison

300 years sounds like fake news. The fact is that Manafort will have a relatively short sentence for tax fraud and should consider himself lucky since he was at the mercy of one of the largest investigations in history.

As for the bigger picture of how does this effect the election and Trump's MAGA agenda? Simple, it doesn't. Manafort's conviction is meaningless for that no matter how much the media tries to spin it. If they keep spinning it they will just lose more of their tiny remaining credibility. So they'll basically drop it.
