I wonder if the people selling land in Fiji and other South Pacific islands would be willing to accept a reduced price offer since it’s been so seismically active lately. My multi-million dollar oceanfront dream might be able to be gotten at a significant discount. I’ll ride out a few temblors in my hammock, if need be.

The Russians probably got it right. They said the thinning of artic ice and melting glaciers correlates best with the increased activity of underwater volcanoes and multiple vents. The earth seems to be venting some heat and energy.

The "Ring of Fire" is 25,000 miles long. A bunch of earthquakes along that length and far away from California have all gotten together and conspired to hit the 800 mile long San Andreas Fault in California next. Makes sense to me.

My dad is a pretty smart guy. I asked him about this:
1. 4.3 to 6 is a medium quake. 7 is major.
2. What would you rather have, stress relief throughout the structure or no movement at all followed by a massive slippage?
