I think you’re confusing things. Of course George did the right thing in giving the money to his attorney but *IF* he did bring the 10k cash into U.S. as the FBI wanted him to do them he would have been in serious legal trouble. It was a trap but thankfully George didn’t fall for it. It doesn’t matter that George was no longer with the Trump campaign or administration, mueller just wanted to add something else on top of getting Papadopoulos
