Winners get to write history. If the Germans won the war the first people executed would be politicians then military leaders. Bomber Harris and Curtis Lemay and Enola Gay commander Tibbets would have been executed in the town square.
Useful ‘war criminals’ would be given special dispensation ( think operation paper clip).
