Before the land is stolen, the farmers should salt the earth. so nothing grows there for a very long time.
No need to go to that extreme, the ones running SA couldn’t make the land produce food anyway. If that land ever feeds S Africans again it will be worked by ‘hired farmers’.
Salting the earth was merely ceremonial anyway. Like putting a curse on it. Salting an entire farm would be prohibitively expensive. Especially back in roman days.
And there is little risk the ANC could raise a single harvest anyway.
