“Its good to know that you were able to take advantage of all the guys who were starving and had to work for nothing just to bring something in.”
We hired a young contractor who was just starting out. He had two or three carpenters working full-time for about 8 months. The local lumber yard he bought material from actually went under not long after he finished out home. Unfortunately, “W” Boosh ended up being the GOPe’s answer to Cahtah, with the 2007 “mini-depression” I think his policies caused. That didn’t work out so well for us, when 30% of our 401k’s “went away.” Both Boosh and Cahtah are worthless POS in my opinion.
When you are 95, you pretty much shun everything.
“He wasnt a bad man”
You’re right he “IS” a bad man, present tense!
40 years of secret service ...
A better headline would be “Obama shuns the middle class, lives in a Mansion, and lives like a Multi-Millionaire”.
From the Communist Goals read into the Congressional record, 1963:
"44. Internationalize the Panama Canal."
His folksy demeanor was/is a smokescreen for a dedicated marxist.
Plus nearly 40 years of post-presidency pension and medical benefits, a taxpayer funded library to go along with the Secret Service protection!
We all had to live very very modestly during his tenure. No choice.

IIRC the Win button was a Ford thing no?
Jimmy Carter is an asshole through and through.
Don’t kid yourselves about this evil man.
The same press that trashes and slanders President Trump non-stop, has now once again shown it’s true colors by writing a heaping pile of horse dung trying to rehab this lout.
This is the man that in the late 1970s helped usher in the Islamic State of Iran. This destabilized the region to this day, thirty years later. Iran went from an excellent ally of the United States and Western Nations, to a terrorist training and arming center today. It is intent on developing nuclear weapons and has a fairly sound missile technology as well. Israel is it’s announced enemy, and today from what I hear, it has troops in Syria.
People like to play off Carter as a good man who simply made mistakes. Carter has never uttered one word of concern for what he ushered in upon the people of Iran. He hasn’t uttered one word of concern for Israel’s safety. He hasn’t uttered one word of concern about the nuclear weapons effort.
Let’s move to the Panama Canal. In the late 1970s, Carter addressed the Panama Canal. I’m not sure why he was in such a hurry since our Panama Treaty gave us rights to the Panama Canal Zone in perpetuity. Carter who promised during his presidential campaign in 1976 that he would not turn over the canal in the foreseeable future, did just that. As a result Panama brought in the Chinese to manage the canal zone. Carter could have negotiated to sweeten the deal between the U. S. and Panama. He wound up settling for a clause that gave the U. S. permission to use it’s military if it was every denied usage of the canal. With China there on our own hemisphere, one wonders when that might become a necessity. Thanks Jimmy. It is true that our U. S. Senate had to ratify the treaty Carter came up with, but it wasn’t easy. Torjillos courted U. S. Senators in Panama to assure them Panama would not cause the U. S. trouble. Even John Wayne spoke out in favor of the treaty. Wayne made a big mistake on this one > IMO.
Make no mistake about it, the Panama Canal was and still is a strategic asset, only today it isn’t one for us any longer. If in coming decades China and the U. S. come to blows, it could as easily scuttle the canal as not.
Let’s move on to North Korea. I’m not sure how many people remember the lead-on to Jimmy’s trip to North Korea. Talk in the press during the Clinton years was that North Korea was going to have to be addressed due to it’s nuclear weapons program. The scuttlebutt made it seem that some form of action would be taken soon. All of a sudden Jimmy Carter showed up in North Korea.
The Clinton administration was as surprised as anyone to hear about it. Carter had taken it upon himself to go there and resolve the issues. Days later Carter emerged to assure everyone that everything was fine, and that North Korea would no longer be a problem.
He is the man that essentially gave North Korea the green light to develop nuclear weapons. Along with that came the green light to develop ICBM level missiles.
Weeks if not more than a month after Carter’s trip to North Korea, the Clinton administration claimed it had sent Carter, but that wasn’t the perception during the trip. The media made it pretty clear Clinton was not in the loop. It has always been my impression that Clinton claimed he sent Carter to save face.
Look, either way, the deal Carter made was a lousy one. Once again his dirty little paws had destabilized another region. If Trump isn’t able to tame North Korea, we will have to take action. That action may involved China. It would be the start of WWIII.
Who here thinks it would be best to face China in say 2025-2035, than it would have been to face it in the mid 1990s?
Carter has never admitted to any problems with these actions of his. The destabilization of Iran, it’s impact on the Middle East, his engineered removal of our management of the Panama Canal, his mismanagement of the North Korean nuclear weapons program, Carter has been an absolute disaster for our nation’s interests, and the interests of the nations that live in the region near Iran.
Carter was a friend of Nicaragua’s Communist leader. He was a friend of Venezuela’s leader. He was a friend of Fidel Castro. He turned out to aid Kim’s father in North Korea, seemingly a friendly act on his behalf.
Carter’s big move concerning Iran was motivated by his humanitarian sensitivities being upset by the fact the Shah had a few thousand political prisoners in his prisons. I think by now people around the world understand how difficult it is to rule a nation in the Middle East. There are constant power struggles. We’re talking about folks who use terrorism to attain their goals. Was the Shah perfect? I doubt it. I would compare him to Hozni Murbarak of Egypt. They both were decent leaders. They both were our allies. Both deserved our support.
I mention this, because Carter has never touched on the mistreatment of Iranian’s under the Islamic government. He never once complained about the treatment of the Nicaraguans, the Venezuelans, or the people of North Korea under their dictatorial governments.
I don’t know whatever possessed Carter to do a Playboy interview, but one of the gems he revealed in that interview, was that he had lusted in his heart for other women behind his wife’s back.
Seeing a pretty woman, taking notice, and moving on is not lust. Lust is desiring to be with that woman.
To admit having those feelings in a Playboy interview was an act of betrayal of his wife.
Carter is not a decent man.
Any guy who will sell his wife out in public, is not a guy I choose to admire on any level. Knowing Cater’s disgusting political background, sure doesn’t help.
>>I would have voted for him over obama<<
That is insulting to say the least.
What goes around comes around.
Well, I don’t know, his lieutenant governor, Lester Maddox, called Carter “the most dishonest man I ever met.”
Amen. After reading this puff piece one needs a dose of reality. I dont even think the aim was to praise Carter so much as to contrast him with President Trump. The thrust was this man was humble and truthful in comparison. Heaping pile of horse dung is being charitable.
Thanks.
Yep, we agree there.
Bernie lives modestly, too, right?
Jimma’s IQ is fairly modest.
IIRC, President Reagan and Nancy left the White House and took up residence in their 1400 SQ Ft home.
