I agree. get rid of all security clearances of ex employees and make them reapply when needed for private contract work...

I never understood why it wasn’t always done that way. If a former employee can demonstrate to the government they need it, then an exception can be made.
That’s the spirit! Make these sumbitches live like the rest of us. I’ve been on my “public servants” for years to pass a law requiring everyone in DC to submit to the same pre-hire, post-accident and random alcohol and drug screenings that us truck drivers, pilots and ship captains are subject to. The Capitol would become a ghost town.

I had always thought that was normal procedure ,, or at least they would expire at some regular review time period... Absolutely no reason for clearance if you are no longer employed in an area that requires it...
