Unless the defendant has a violent history or other serious charges pending, there is a very good chance that new terms would be set for bail and monitoring.

Unfortunately for Manafort, Judge Amy Berman Jackson has decided that he needs to be in jail... on her case.

But, normally, what you said would take place. Manafort's situation is unusual--a simultaneous two-pronged prosecution on different charges in different courts.

Thanks for the correction.

I completely forgot - two trials, two different judges.

And I made a second goof. Spector was already out on bond for his FIRST trial. The hung jury had nothing to do with it.

Not my best day at Free Republic.
