Excellent. There are plenty of US citizens trained to do computer work...you’ll just have to pay them a little more.

Absolutely untrue. Just walk into any STEM program at any college in America and tell me what percentage you think are "US citizens".

IT unemployment is below 2% according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and there is a reason why many of those people are unemployed.

I agree, although I am assuming you need something a little bit more specialized than the ability to use word & excel, I still think it’s reduculous that they can’t (won’t) train U.S. citizens to with these skills. Honestly, Indians all have these specialized silicon valley skill sets and no American’s have them? I call bull. This has to be about money.

Not everyone who is trained in tech is talented in tech—either American or Indian.

But then the CEOs with tens of billions of dollars would have to face a pay cut...

Way back in the mid-90’s, one of my friends was a manager in IT. He and I had both been COBOL programmers and I still was one.

He told me that one day he was watching a dozen or so contract programmers working (roughly half citizens and half H1-B) and a thought came to him:

The americans are good, but the Indians are too, and they actually work a lot harder. The americans bill out at $75 an hour and the Indians at $17.50 an hour. Why do I have those Americans?

India may be friendly, but we reached the breaking point in November, 2016.

VERY capable hands are guiding our ship now and by GOLLY I enjoy the scenery.

H1B is to skilled workers, what illegals are to unskilled, they are just being used as virtual slave labor and wage depressors....

The entire Program is so wholesale abused it cannot be saved, it needs GONE

With so many Indians as managers, Americans are now discriminated against in the workplace.

Not exactly. Many of the IT types want to go into management. There is a shortage of people wanting to code all day.....which is what I do.
