I worked with an Indian H1B whose dad ran a general store in Idi Amin's Uganda. Idi kicked out the Indians and gave their posessions/businesses to his cronies. Unfortunately. they weren't aware of the concept of inventory replenishment, and when the stocks ran out, they shut down.
He said that some years later his dad got an "all-is-forgiven" letter from the post-Amin government asking him to come back. Dad didn't reply.
Ha, ha, good for him. They probably would have confiscated his business a second time.
Yep...I worked two years in Tanzania, out in the sticks on a mine project. I had an apartment in Dar for 6-months and if the Indians, many 4th generation in country, were to pack up and go away, eastern Africa would collapse in a week.
If our leftist morons want to see real racial discrimination, I recommend a few months in Tanzania and Kenya. The animosity of black Africans against Indians is unbelievable, and against whites only slightly less.
