SEATTLE - A Washington state judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by young activists who argued the state is violating their rights by failing to protect them from climate change.

In his ruling Tuesday, King County Superior Court Judge Michael Scott says the issues in the case are political questions that must be addressed by the legislative and executive branches and cannot be resolved by a court.

Man bites dog! Judge refuses to make law from the bench!

Seriously, in the story he still didn't want to discourage the little snowflake plaintiffs, but "buh-bye".

How did this lawsuit get past a single preliminary hearing? It’s a blatant violation of separation of powers.

Glad the judge eventually made the right decision, but this should have been laughed out of court day one.

Temporary setback for leftist idiots - they will do what they always do - double down, go judge shopping in a different venue, and keep at it like a deranged “Energizer cockroach” on crack...

OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

...Scott wrote that there is not such specific right found within the state Constitution...

Surprised the left coast Judge didn’t find it in the Constitution between the gay marriage clause and the abortion clause, just after the Sanctuary Cities Clause.

Well, that's refreshing.

Because some people with very deep pockets have made a hobby of funding these adventures.

Excuse me but this is not the Childrens lawsuit which is in federal court, which is called Juliana vs United States.

This is why Trump fired Pruitt. Pruitt failed to stop Juliana in District Court, Appeals Court and at the Supreme court.

The Juliana case will be heard in District court in October.

Multiple judges have ordered the federal government to defy immigration law.
More than one judge has ordered local jurisdictions and states to alter their budgets to allocate more money to other things, primarily education.

Please consider the following side note for discussion.

Why don’t ordinary citizens work with their home insurance companies to pay higher premiums for global warming damage, and then see how the insurance companies respond to related claims.

Insights welcome.
