In three articles for The Hill last week, investigative journalist John Solomon revealed previously undisclosed text and email discussions between former Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr and former MI6 agent and Spygate dossier author Christopher Steele. Solomon’s reporting also uncovered notes Ohr took summarizing discussions he had with Steele’s boss at Fusion GPS, Glenn Simpson, about the Russia “collusion” investigation.
In isolation, the details revealed in Solomon’s must-read exposés are troubling. But when considered in conjunction with information related to the Russia investigation the government previously released, this new information is potentially devastating, because it indicates that, notwithstanding claims to the contrary, the Federal Bureau of Investigation launched operation Crossfire Hurricane based on Steele’s Clinton-funded opposition research.

“New info? New to who?”
The media, the Democrats, Congressman Schiff, many Senators including Republicans, the DOJ, the FBI and most members of the Washington establishment have said that the fraudulent dossier was not what caused the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, the FISA requests or any other investigations.
Margot Cleveland is doing smart articles on this subject — thanks for posting them. For now, she, like most others, is looking at certain things backwards. Rather than Steele approaching the FBI with his compelling raw intel, The FBI initiated the whole scheme, from Hillary’s funding of Fusion GPS through her attorneys, to Glenn Simpson hiring Steele and Nellie Ohr, to providing most of the rumors and dirt for Ohr and Steele to recycle. It’s possible that Steele did not even know that the FBI was behind it all.
Margot Cleveland quotes Adam Schiff, but dismisses him as lying:

I think Schiff is actually telling the “Clinton truth”: Steele didn’t inform or initiate Crossfire Hurricane; Steele is the egg, not the chicken. The FBI had already initiated the counterintel operation, and that operation included having Fusion hire Steele. The Steele Dossier was one in a series of FBI anti-Trump operations, not the cause of them.
So WHO initiated the whole thing? My Prime Candidate is Andrew McCabe, who expected a grateful Hillary to make him FBI Director some day. I can’t prove it, but McCabe is the hub of a lot of spokes and spooks in this drama.
Apologies for grinding my favorite ax, but to unravel the whole conspiracy start at its beginning. It’s no accident that recent revelations about Bruce Ohr and Steel are focus on the ending. Who opened the barn door?

Schiff’s statement reflects the prevailing wisdom in the media and the Washington establishment. Everybody in Washington and the media says the same thing.

I think the entire Obama administration was in on it.
Brennan, Clapper, Comey, McCabe and others. And of course the DNC and the Clinton people.
I can't believe you understated the reality.
Obama the fraud himself told us unequivocally... "my goal is to fundamentally transform the United States of America."
As with his mindless and ambiguous "Change and Hope," every time I heard that absurdity, I immediately responded in my mind, "yeah, getting a fatal cancer is change... too."
And he’s still at work, too. Often through his minions.

Spying was ok'd for 2 layers deep. Everyone he had contact with and everyone they had contact with. Now you are at thousands, if not 10's of thousands of persons open to be spied on.
