Molly Hall, a spokeswoman for the DEFCON event, said the mock websites were built by Brian Markus, who she called a “world-renowned security expert.”
In total, 35 of 39 participants ages 6-17 successfully hacked mock versions of Secretary of State websites in six swing states during a portion of the convention called the Voting Machine Hacking Village, according to event organizers. The “hackers” managed to tamper with vote tallies, party names and candidate names, changing vote tallies to numbers like 12 billion and candidate names to “Bob Da Builder” and “Richard Nixon’s head.”

No. They were fake sites created specifically for this propaganda event. Even if the real sites had been hacked, it would not have affected the real vote total, only the numbers displayed on the web.
Some have suggested that they didn’t even hack the fake sites but modified the copy in their browser by using the F12 tools.
How many ballots can they stamp out with a stolen ballot puncher (as in Florida) or how many ballots can they change with a block of wood with a nail in it?
Didn’t the KGB return to typewriters at their headquarters because they were more secure? I think I read that about a year ago.
I used to be a Voter Registrar in Texas years ago. I was talking with a lady that would go to the County Courthouse and pickup the Electronic Voting Machines. When they were signed for the EVM’s would be Booted up to be sure they worked and had the correct office, canidate name and/or bond type info AND that All Counts were at 0/Zero/Zip/Piff/Nil/Naught etc.
I asked her if she turned them all on for the Election. She told Me sometimes. I asked if they were still at 0/Zero when turned on at the Polling Site.
Her reply was “they were at the County Courthouse”
I asked again, this time she said “I don’t know I’ve never looked”
I then explained how simple it would be to make 2 different Autoexec.bat files. 1 that when Booted everything was normal and at 0 and after the 1st Boot it Deleted that Autoexec.bat and Renamed a second file called Two.bat to Autoexec.bat AND then it “doctored” the Vote Count in favor of Xname or Xfunding plan by any quantity wanted...
And trigger a 2nd Delete and a 3rd Rename back to “Normal”.

Ensuring the validity of our elections is fundamental to our representative government. It’s ridiculous we are so nonchalant about this.
It is easy enough to cheat by conventional means, using techniques perfected by Democrats over the last 150 years.
I have been voting for close to 40 years. I have become resigned to the fact that each and every one of those thousands of votes cast has been nullified by some Democrat double voting or committing some other fraud.
I am convinced that every vote I ever will cast will be similarly nullified, and yet I persist. I persist because at some point the only thing you can do is throw your body on the pile to try to stem the flood of evil.
Vote fraud is a way of life for Democrats. They must be opposed at every turn for this reason alone.

Regardless, many of these publicity stunts are done by giving someone at least the locations to look for backdoors.
It’s the equivalent of you locking up your house, showing a six year old where you keep your spare key hidden, easily with in her reach, and then saying a six year old can bypass the best deadbolts on the market.

I believe in KISS but your example only goes to show how out of control our government is when it comes to spending and keeping their budgets redlined so that more spending can be added in the future. Great example though and will try to remember it in the future
