If that had been me on the ground I would have been in fear for my life.
Here we go again.
Perfect shot there for this situation. Shows how black guy was standing up and turned slightly away when the gun was about to go off.
This could be a hard case to figure. Would have to hear more evidence to fee, absolutely sure this was necessary. My gut is was it was overkill.
Florida.....
So serious question here: does everyone get one free sucker shove to the ground?
Let’s have a fair trial, hear all the facts, and hope for a fair and impartial verdict.
The one who started the fight should not be able to claim self defense.
Didn’t the Sheriff already make a statement in public that it was a SYG case? Call him as a witness.
Lots of things led up to this situation. Shooter had a history of doing stupid stuff. I suspect the ‘pusher’ was also not a good boy. Fate had them meet each other at the local stop and stab and this is the end result. This plays out everyday across America.
A couple of questions come to mind.
Was there a spoken threat after the assault but prior to the shot being fired that would have caused the shooter to take action?
Was there a slowing of the shooters reaction to the assault because of physical harm or a cognitive delay? Are we sure he was aware of the two second interval?
There seems to be a difference of opinion based on the apparent hesitation seen on video. I wouldn’t presume to know the answer to these questions but would rather the evidence be presented to a jury, factually and without emotion.
Good deal
But I cannot be sure if he said any such thing or not.
Also,I'd want to know the past history of the dead guy *and* the shooter. If either of them have any kind of dirty history that would tend to make me lean one way or the other regarding the possibility of "justifiable homicide".
Not Guilty - a clear self-defense
