The creeping exclusion of the right from online platforms like Twitter and Facebook is well-known, drawing the attention of Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale and the RNC. But a greater challenge is on the horizon: the exclusion of the right from financial services.

Conservatives have long been the target of shadowbans, biased algorithms, and account bans on social media. Not content with silencing their voices online, the left now wants to stop the right from using the web to fundraise. Thanks to the increasing willingness of online fundraising platforms and payment processors to ban clients for political reasons, they are getting their way.

One of the most popular fundraising platforms is Patreon, a site that allows users to collect monthly recurring donations from their supporters. With the decline of ad revenue on platforms like YouTube, Patreon has emerged as an important and effective tool for online content creators to earn a living. In some cases, it can take little more than a hundred fans contributing set amounts per month for a creator to support themselves full-time.

In theory, this creates an environment similar to that of talk radio in the 1980s: a decentralized ecosystem where new creators can quickly establish an independent support base, without relying on gatekeepers in the establishment media. With only their fans to answer to, as opposed to controversy-shy advertisers, it should be the perfect formula for free expression.

There’s just one problem — Patreon itself…

The solution is to pick a fundraising platform that is not hostile conservatives. There are at least 20 platforms out there. Or you can keep whining and insinuate that the internet needs to be nationalized.

Can they (these social media and associated companies) now be declared as simple political tools subject to political money spending limitations and forced disclosures ?

Class action suits and charges of civil rights violations against them

Any ‘journalist’ protections that some of them may make use of should be revoked (allowing more lawsuits)

BOYCOTT (warn and boycott anyone who does business with them)

We need more competition - sane honest people who offer the same services and take the business away from these leftist manipulators

Conservatives need to start wearing a yellow Star of David with "Silenced" written on it. Sure, it may anger the people in control of the country (you know who's in charge by who you're not allowed to criticize - who that may be is left as an exercise for the reader) but it'll fit the current situation to a 'T'.

Yep. I know firsthand that PayPal has been shutting down accounts of rightwing and conservative persons and groups for years, usually at the urging of (influential) outside agitators.

Rather than moan and groan about the outright bias of all the social media and funding sites, start a new site. Don't wait for someone else to start it, because it'll never get done. Just do it. You don't have the skills? Fine. Learn them. But but but...

Just do it already. The internet is available to all reading this. Take the time to learn the skills to program a site, or hire a programmer and just get it done. Then promote it. Don't depend on someone else. And please, spare us your whining about the left being unfair. We've known that for years. Make it happen. What's stopping you? If someone like Elon Musk can learn to do it for a product like Paypal, why not you?

But, chances are I'll hear all the reasons you can't or won't. Yawn. Bottom line is you just don't want it bad enough.

Don't even need to code. It'd be nice, but you don't need to. Hire someone to help install it and bada boom bada boom. Then spend a lot of money marketing your new site.

I live in Japan . I quit Paypal ( and Ebay as that is the only method by which one can pay ) years ago because they suddenly wanted too much private info inc. photos of my passport , alien reg. card , etc...F them !
