I think those goals are attainable in a multicultural and multiracial society, as long as those core values are at the root of each and every one of those many cultures, and they’re all speaking the same language. Why not?
A problem that’s arisen in this country is that there are now a frightful number of people that don’t share those core values. I don’t care if you’re a card-carrying member of DAR who can trace back to the Pilgrims, if you don’t buy into the American Idea, then you’re part of the problem, even more so than those foreigners sneaking across the border.
Why? Mostly because there is no longer time to experiment with such things.
