NO NEED FOR A CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION!!!!

JUST ENFORCE THE FREAKING CONSTITUTION AND DISMANTLE THE UNCONSTITUTIONAL 80% PORTION OF THE $4 TRILLION FEDS!!!

MAGA BY RESTORING OUR FREE CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC!!!!

A Constitutional Convention per se acquiesces to the mostly illegal feds by saying we have to change the constitutional laws the feds have already broken!!!???

Please, don’t add more confusion to the confused D.C. SWAP. JUST DRAIN THE SWAMP!!!

Agreed. 95% of our ills could be fixed by following the constitution we already have.

A constitutional convention is a trap.

Just wait until the demands come for racial and economic quotas

Eliminate the unconstitutional Federal Reserve, and eliminate the 16th amendment and it will starve the remaining unconstitutional activities

Yes. I agree. Our government does not seem bound by the Constitution we have.

The deep state would salivate at the prospect of a constitutional convention. Too many RINOs too. The resultant armed conflict could be interesting though.

They can push for a C.C. but sooner or later the only thing that will solve this is another Civil war. I say we just get on with it and get rid of these as swipes once and for all.

It takes 34 states to convene a constitutional convention (38 to pass a new amendment). It’s a pipedream.

Look at the balance budget amendment; I think 28 have called for it but, if it starts gaining steam, some could rescind their advocacy (e.g., Maryland). Plus, the amendment has different verbiage in each state so it would need to be rewritten, in the same way, for it to be ratified.

Our best hope is to appoint originalist Justices who will interpret the Constitution as it was written. Even then, a new Democrat President and Senate could grow (pack) the Court with “living constitution-ists” to overturn any precedent. Likewise, adding States (i.e., Puerto Rico) could be counter to this end.

It’s more likely that a revolution will have to occur and that would be horrific.

I agree with not adding to the Constitution. But we need to repeal/rescind 3 major corruptions that set the stage for our government deteriorating from a Constitutional Republic to an oligarchy (“Testing Theories of American Politics: Elites, Interest Groups, and Average Citizens” by Martin Gilens and Benjamin I. Page of Princeton: http://scholar.princeton.edu/sites/default/files/mgilens/files/gilens_and_page_2014_-testing_theories_of_american_politics.doc.pdf )

The corruptions are: 1. 16th Amendment, reducing us all to serfs by allowing a federal income tax. 2. 17th Amendment, eradicating the influence of the States by taking the election of federal Senators from the State Legislatures and giving it over to general election. House rule in 1928 limiting House membership to 435, effectively replacing our citizen statesmen and women with career politicians, eliminating the voice of the people from influencing government.

Simply repealing/rescinding these three corruptions will rebalance our ship of state and restore self-government. Please see my Federalist Letters to Corporate American at my blog (see signature line).

Once these are effected, then we should re-evaluate to determine if any additions should be made, but not until we eliminate the existing corruption of the founding principles.

Any Constitutional convention, no matter how well intended, will be taken over by socialists and presto-chango, our new Constitution will look like the Russian Constitution - malleable at the will of the ruling socialist party.

17th Amendment repealed the Senate.

The Congress House now has 435 + 100 members.

The House is 535 members split into major minor interests.

So you’re against:

Term limits for Federal judges including the Supremes?

Term limits for Senators and Reps?

Balanced Budget amendment?

Re-asseeting the 10th amendment?

Putting the brakes on the runaway 14th amendment?

Just how do you propose dismantling the “unconstitutional 80%” with the worthless 2 party system thats primary goal is to control all the power through laws and judges to interpret them as they see fit, our money, and our daily lives?

Everyone has an opinion... I believe there is a need for a convention, balanced budget. We need to stop baseline budgiting ermanently. Just my opinion.

How do you drain something that has enforcers buried all over the District? The STATES HAVE TO TAKE BACK THEIR POWER - the same power that created this District to begin with.
