"Neither Krauthammer nor, more laughingly, Will is in that firmament."

I don't mean to get off topic, he has been Pro-Trump more or less, however I really feel bad for Dr William Bennett. Was he not good friends with the following: The late Dr Krauthammer, George Will, Bill Kristol, and he was Paul Ryan's mentor? I mean talk about the luck of that draw. It screams that the beltway has no clue about the guy working in a stamping plant or the guys that work in a firm doing all sorts of machining aka Bridgeports, Lathes, grinding etc. and what then Candidate Trump and now President means too them.

He just may have written more ‘informative intellectual’ columns with Shillary as POTUS.

Candidate Trump laid it all out in this speech why the elite hate him, including the ones who wear R jerseys.

And that is what people don't understand about Trump. He knows that when he builds a building he is paying for two kinds of people - first the people necessary to build the building which includes the architects and engineers and the construction folks who actually build the building and then all of the folks who just want a cut on the deal, directly or indirectly. DC has become almost entirely populated by the latter. No one in DC does anything much. The best know that and try to get money and authority to the "field" as it is called here in DC, the place out in fly-over country where any work actually gets done.

The rest just want to augment their staff and hire consultants and then put together the case for why with the meagre amount of money they have they can't get any real work done (if they even know what real work looks like, e.g. habitable building, highway with traffic flowing on it, oil or gas well delivering energy to its customers). Usually it's "I've been crashing 80 hr weeks getting the environmental impact statement reviewed so that it is ready for when we open it for public comment."
