I understand how you feel and you are perfectly justified in feeling that way.
But I don’t think the miserable Clinton years really discouraged so many people from voting. After the Clinton age, we had two terms of Shrub - who may have disappointed many of us in some ways, but was at least a vast improvement. (And, who else was there to vote for, anyway?) And we got Trump despite what I suspect were massive attempts at fraud.
Men like Trump - decidedly a man for his time - don’t come along very often. But they do seem to come along when most needed. I believe that through his sheer force of character he is going to make a very big difference - whether anyone goes to jail or not.
We need to use our energies and commitment toward the future, not the past. Our house votes in every election, even though it often seems to make little sense or difference where we live.
Just my opinion.
