Narrative is already “How horrible!”
From locals I know in the area, it wasn’t the illegals that got them in trouble, it was the living conditions.
Next step will to get the local Catholic bishops blasting this raid from the pulpit. Pressure on the local LEO’s for not stopping the raid, and a lot of shuffling on the state level.
What an absolute joke. 133 illegal aliens. Heck, they could go to any Walmart and find that many without effort. They are all around us and yet ICE is spinning its wheels, spending likely millions of dollars for just a couple, then they go back to their offices. With between 30-60 million illegal aliens in the US, they need to do better than 133. Guess all for show. Pathetic.
Go to any construction site, or follow a landscaping truck - there are VERY FEW Americans to be found at these venues and a horde of hispanics with extremely questionable immigration status - because they are CHEAP.
The democrats are, once again, supporting slavery. What a surprise.
What a horribly misleading headline. The story is about the employers, not the workers. The arrest of 133 illegal workers is secondary to the big picture; that the employers were exploiting the workers.
Support Free Republic, Folks!
And the ACLU is condemning the raids! Says they will disrupt the communities for years. What about the exploited workers! Aren’t they the ones the ACLU was founded to help? These hypocrites make me so mad. If they had any integrity at all they would applaud this criminal exploitation of people, Even if they are here illegally.
Put enough employers in jail and the illegal immigrant problem becomes much more manageable.
Wouldn't it have been nice if the Wa Times had published the names of these businesses? Guess they're just lazy.
