RIYADH, Saudi Arabia In a bit more than a month since women in Saudi Arabia won the historic right to drive, a group of them is headed out on the road on not four wheels, but two.
We have been waiting a lifetime for this, said Aliya, an enthusiastic 23-year-old student from Jeddah who is set on motorcycling. Always watching my brothers ride. Now theyre teaching me.

Unfortunately I think road rage is in their future.
Good on ‘em.
What happens when a burka gets snagged in the rear wheel? /s
From what I understand, the ability to drive has only been promised, it has not actually happened yet for females in Saudi land.
But if Saudi Arabia is a Muslim country, can they call it a Hog?

Boy o boy, that is witty! Good one.
Burka Biker Babes.
Yes, women can now drive in Saudi Arabia. There is a delay for almost all of them though, as they first need to take a driver’s ed course, and then get a license. Few courses are available for women, and they are booked up months ahead.
Some who had foreign drivers licenses, or who already knew how to drive (from living abroad) and quickly got a license, are already on the road.
“...Get your jihad running.....head out on the highway....behead infidels....”
Nice!
World's worst drivers in Saudi Arabia, without road rage. Just road stupidity.
I think this is a good thing because anything that weakens the mullahs control in Saudi is bound to be a good thing.
That said, I’ve spent weeks in and around Jedda. And, I’ve ridden a million miles myself in my many decades on this earth and have a GoldWing sitting in the garage as I type. So, my comment is that it’s nice these gals have a motorcycle under them but WHERE the hell are they going to ride. In and around Jedda is a desert strewn with the trash of man. It is an Eco Disaster after a 100 centurys of cluelessness on environmental concepts.
The more exposure to western culture, the better. You're exactly correct.
I had a badazz Harley Fat Boy for eleven years and I never wore a burkha.
Burka Motorcycle gear?? I guess they won’t be photographed in bikinis while leaning on their bikes..
Born to be wild?
>WHERE the hell are they going to ride.
Their on Harleys so the answer is; where ever they want to!
