Last year, FCC Chairman Ajit Pai warned that it was Big Tech “edge providers,” such as Google, Twitter, and Facebook, are the real censorship threat, and not Internet Service Providers (ISPs) previously targeted under net neutrality.
In a speech last November, Pai solidified his stance, claiming that large Internet companies, such as Google, Facebook, and Twitter, support net neutrality to “cement their dominance in the Internet economy.”
“Now look: I love Twitter, and I use it all the time. But let’s not kid ourselves; when it comes to an open Internet, Twitter is part of the problem,” Pai proclaimed. “The company has a viewpoint and uses that viewpoint to discriminate… The company appears to have a double standard when it comes to suspending or de-verifying conservative users’ accounts as opposed to those of liberal users. This conduct is many things, but it isn’t fighting for an open Internet.”
“And unfortunately, Twitter isn’t an outlier. Indeed, despite all the talk about the fear that broadband providers could decide what Internet content consumers can see, recent experience shows that so-called edge providers are in fact deciding what content they see,” he continued. “These providers routinely block or discriminate against content they don’t like… The examples from the past year alone are legion.”

They have done it. They did not start recently. The deliberate and intentional suppression of normal peoples’ ideas did not raise any red flags in the DOJ offices, meaning that the DOJ is OK with that.
Listen, Trump. It’s nice of you to bring back jobs, but this is more important. Major, huge businesses are using their power to block thoughts that the democrat party does not agree with. If we don’t have the right to express ourselves, we have lost the country.
Reality: we have already lost the right to free speech. Since the government won’t prosecute those who are taking away this right, the government is complicit in taking away this right.
This doesn’t stop. They have taken steps to silence such people as Michael Savage and Robert Spencer. They aren’t stopping there. They will continue until they suppress anything but official leftist party dogma.
So make it illegal for any social media to ban any otherwise legal content. Call it “Net Neutrality”

Make a finding that these large and ubiquitous companies are defacto utilities and may not under any circumstances abridge or impede the free flow of communication.

They are two separate unrelated issues though.
I would hate for the problems with FB Google etc. to be used as an excuse against net neutrality.
Ending net neutrality is just a way for internet providers to charge more for data and put it on a tier system. (similar to how cable TV works, and ironically because the same companies are losing money from consumers cutting the cord on cable TV).
It’s unrelated to how certain social media websites may chose to censor things, thast can be addressed separately.
My company blocked access to InfoWars today ... just sayin ...
Combine this with the fact that Fascistbook, Google and others are working to exchange user information between them which will only make silencing dissenting voices EASIER in the near future. Think about it: get banned or suspended from Fascistbook and you're automatically banned / suspended from other edge provider platforms at the same time.
That's what they're working towards.
Want to really sh*t your pants? Fascistbook is working with the top 5 banks in the U.S. to get YOUR and MY banking information including account information, balances, credit scores, THE WORKS according to published reports the other day so they can offer "new services" on their "platform."
Not only will Fascistbook be able to control where you can logon with other "edge providers" and services that use Fascistbook to provide login authentication, they'll be able to see, sell information, market, bill, manipulate your bank accounts too.
Fascistbook, Google and the rest need to be broken up / shut down /burned down to the ground IMO. They're getting control over our lives and the political whores in Washington DC are all bought and paid for by them and will let it happen!
