He might be a brilliant business man but his choice in hiring people like this and some of his lawyers leave me scratching my head.

I totally agree. He seems to put his trust in some people who have not reciprocated that trust back and got burned because of it.

Yeah I've said that as well. He is not always good at hiring and some times he is not too good at firing either ... despite his reputation.

Someone is advising him badly.

#5: "He might be a brilliant business man but his choice in hiring people like this and …"

President Trump was rightfully optimistic and joyful after his election victory. He seemed to be in a mood to unite and let bygones be bygones for the good of America.

He was stabbed in the back. Parasites and fifth columnists took advantage of President Trump's good will. And wormed their way into his administration. The snakes and cockroaches crawled out of cracks and began to sabotage him from the start.

No need to scratch your head, like most men, Trump lets his little head do the thinking that his big head should do.

You don't get it.

The reason why Trump hired her was to let her hang out to dry by her sheer incompetence.

He did it to Bannon. He did it to Tillerson. And he's probably doing it to Sessions.

That's not a mark against Trump - it's a mark against THEM. Working for Trump is the best once-in-a-lifetime opportunity one could have, and instead of taking charge (Trump is not a micromanager, he is a hands-off manager and gives you full responsibility) and being somewhat your own boss, if you don't perform, you'll will be persona non grata in the business world thereafter.

I guaranteed you Trump hired her knowing full well this beeyotch was going backstab him, and I bet whatever conversations were taped, Trump was just trolling her (Probably knowing he was being taped).
