Soybeans are a win-win for the USA.
Growing it re-vitalizes the soil and its not expensive to grow.

China may have to start buying U.S. soybeans again in coming weeks

Of course they will. They need to feed their people.

Now, double the price to help out the American farmer. Ouchie.

I guess China needs it’s soy sauce and tofu. Oh, soy beans are mostly used in animal feed?

“Growing it re-vitalizes the soil and its not expensive to grow.”

And the deer love them!

Vegetable oil processing, and then the meal goes to animal feed.

%$#@!!! tell me about it. I had a 50’ x 100’ garden last year with green bean, yellow beans, heirloom beans, and soybeans (edamame) and the deer would just raze them down. Rats on hooves.

My brother is fighting that battle now and losing as you did. He is trying to feed them seed corn away from the garden. The only way it will stop is to fence it in.

Slap the tariff on soybeans, drive futures prices down as a result, buy up contracts for delivery at depressed prices, get your soybeans at the lower price. Pretty smart of the Chinese.

According to an article I read, Brazil passed a law raising freight costs, which has left some farmers leaving soybeans in the field. Brazil has been selling China the soybeans in silos.

Go easy on the edamame. I love them too but too much will make your wang shrink and give you man boobs.
