I was wondering whether the statement: “ Last week, the Iranian rial plunged to a record low of less than 1,000 to the American dollar” was illiterate or innumerate. Now, I see it’s just a case of employing illiteracy and innumeracy in aid of fake news.
I think they dropped 2 zeros.
I thought I saw an article saying it dropped to 100,000 to the dollar, before popping back up to 44,000 to the dollar.
