“...born in Punjab, India, Malhi has lived in the US more than 25 yrs, raised 4 children here with his wife and says he has no other allegiance.”
“....even though hes not yet a citizen and thus unable to vote, he was out putting up signs for a few local political campaigns when attacked.”

So, he has a guest here, he is not an American. Not been American citizen. Is he here legally? And if he is here legally, why has he not got citizenship, and anyone suggesting he has allegiance to the United States even though he has not felt loyal enough to get citizenship, then yes he should be deported.
Furthermore, as he is not a US citizen, his involvement in the election process is completely and absolutely wrong. This is no different than the Russians for others trying to influence the elections. In this case, this guy is an Indian citizen, Potentially an agent of India. It is absolutely wrong that the campaign knowingly, if they did so knowingly, allowed him to be involved and influence our American election process. The candidate should resign. And this guy should be subject to criminal charges and deportation.
