No. A jury may decide whether or not a crime was committed here, but they cannot decide it was an accident.
As in Stockholm, Switzerland.
No. A jury may decide whether or not a crime was committed here, but they cannot decide it was an accident.
So, if the Jury decides for the defendant in such a situation, they are finding not-guilty, but clearly implying that they too believe it was an accident.
That was the core perspective that resulted in my initial post.
But we’re mincing words, really. I end up with a lot of this sort of discussion on liberal sites, but not much here.
Confusion. The headline says Down syndrome, but the article says autism. Two totally different things. Text reads more like Down syndrome??? Who knows?
I know that's supposed to be the punch line, but where is the joke?
If it was in Sweden, it musta been Allah’s will.
“Do you think they would have pulled the trigger that quickly if t was a muslim with a real gun?”
OUCH !! OUCH !!
"But were mincing words, really. I end up with a lot of this sort of discussion on liberal sites, but not much here"
That’ll teach him! SAD!
Are you being sarcastic. I was doing more than clarifying what I was talking about in my very first post. Sheesh. Is it something in the water today. I was just enjoying myself, discussing simple subjects on which most reasonable people agree on a foundational level.
Usually if I want this sort of argument I go to the liberal sites. I can mention there that the sky is blue and they will argue not only that it is turquoise but precisely what shade of turquoise it is and then point out in no uncertain terms that my lack of understanding of the official science behind the assignment of names to colors proves I’m a knuckle dragging Trump supporter. :-D
But none of this is important enough to get emotional about. ;)

The retarded man was too much trouble. Give poor Eric his toy machine gun and send him out to the streets. The police will shoot him and end it for him and his father. Extermination by police. That’s the ticket.
