Good grief, this is horrific. ABC News Chicago is reporting that over 60 people have been shot, with 9 killed, in Chicago just this weekend (Friday through Sunday).
(Chicago) Dozens of people were wounded in shootings across Chicago since Friday, police said. One paramedic described the evening as “a war zone.”
Since midnight, police said 43 people have been shot, six fatally. Since Friday at 5 p.m., 60 people have been shot, nine fatally, in shootings in Chicago.
34 of the shootings and five deaths occurred between 10 a.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday, according to police. During one two-and-a-half hour-hour period, 25 people were shot in five multi-injury shootings. (read more)

They are waiting for ONE police officer to shoot ONE black in self defense. Then, all hell will break loose and the media will push the story.

This is an unanticipated consequence of tearing down the highrise projects in the 90s. Where once you had organized gangs occupying the towers and dominating their neighborhoods, tearing them down meant scattering the occupants—and gang members—across previously-calm city neighborhoods and the southern suburbs.
Now, a handful of large, reasonably controlled gangs have been replaced by dozens if not hundreds of fragmented “mini-gangs” fighting over turf—even when, a few years prior, they had been part of the same gang “nation”.
F&F had a black DC congresscritter on who blamed the problem on no trust in the police. Yeah, that’s the ticket. It’s the cops’ fault.
Watched CNN for two hours this morning but didn’t see it mentioned. Perpetually scowling Alyson Camerota was wall to wall anti-Trump. Surely, she could have found a way to blame Chicago violence on Trump, huh. The only time she got off topic was to barely touch on the starving kids found in a camp in NM which maybe, possibly, could have some vague islamic ties.

They also need a curfew.
