PHOENIX An Arizona artist created a kickstarter campaign to raise money for a giant mural of Ariz. Sen. John McCain.
If the artist can get the funding, he would create the 30-foot-tall by 120-foot-long mural in Old Town Scottsdale.
Total, the artwork would be about 4,000 square feet. Aaron Bass began working with Chen + Suchart Studio and Eric Marvin to create a piece of art that would serve not only a commemoration but a reminder that discourse and discussion are pivotal, the website said.
The concept, tweeted by @mural_the, depicts John McCains face with an Arizona flag on the building at 4235 N. Marshall Way.
Half the star and rays of light on a typical Arizona flag are present on the concept, with the face of The Maverick that starts just past it.
The color shifts from red to blue with white features inside.

He'll be forgotten once he's dead, or out of the senate, and they all know it.
That's why he's selfishly clinging to his senate seat, and lobbying to get his wife to succeed him when the inevitable comes.
I’ll give ‘em $50 if they promise NOT to make it...
What is this- yesterday was ‘barock 0bama day’ in Illinois (officially), and now a monument for mccain?
Strange days indeed.
$20,000 goal, if anyone is wondering.
The only wall McCain ever approved.
Does Krylon still manufacture those (very affordable) cans of spray paint with the little metal balls that roll around while you shake it up?
It’s an efficient way to cover up mistakes and obscenities.
An easy proposition, all it needs is a picture of a hand with the middle finger in the air. After all, that’s what McLame did to the country.
Looks like a site for a Drive In Movie.
Paid for by Soros.
20 feet for every plane he’s crashed plus 20 for the USS Forestal.
A dog turd on the sidewalk would be more fitting.
Actually, there is a precedent for this.

This traitor already has a memorial dedicated to him in Hanoi for being such a good prisoner.
Now considering there is little difference between the communist Vietnamese and our swamp, it’s only right that something be done in this guys memory to commemorate his lack of loyalty to our nation.
Seriously, the only difference between this guy and Jane Fonda, is that Fonda was cute back then.
Really.
(My only proviso is that it must be on the completed border wall in Arizona; and ideally on the left wing of same.)
Easy breezy.
Is this for background to a huge Lenin/Franco inspired mausoleum? Maybe we could embalm the corpse and put it in a glass case on public display?
creepy....
I’m thinking a somewhat smaller mural. One that would fit on a urinal cake.
