Yep.
China has completely overwhelmed America’s spy defenses.
We were ready for Russia. We opposed them, and eventually collapsed the communist system there. Now Russian is no longer the communist menace it once was.
Yet so many are even now, stuck in “Russia!, Russia!, Russia!” mode.
China we tried the completely opposite approach. We decided we would NOT try to change the system there. Not directly. We would compromise with it.
Now thirty years later, the same system is in charge in China. It now is a giant. Running a MASSIVE trade surplus with us, because they have taken a huge part of what used to be our own manufacturing base.

Yet they are still, the same nation. Nothing has changed. Nothing. Except they are becoming ever richer, ever more competent, ever more threatening, ever more everything. More taking over what used to be areas which America was the undisputed champion in world history.
They steal. They spy. They cheat. Yet we continue to do nothing.
THEY are winning, at the moment. Not us.
Trump seems to be the first person in our entire government, who has even one clue about what is happening.
And even he, is not doing much yet.
I read a book when I was in my teens called “Sleeping Giant”
I think also part of the title had Red China in it.
