The frame on a Glock is not all plastic, just mostly plastic.
virtually everything in the bag you pass thru x-ray inspection at the airport is detectable observed..........
You. An purchase 80% complete lowers, that have no serial number, for less than $50. You can then purchase a jig and drill a few holes for the safety switch and trigger guard; and you are good to go.
Untraceable
Because it's impossible to prove a negative. So now prove you did...........
I think you got that backwards
Machines detect
People observe
As in Observe and report
Or maybe I dont get your meaning
Did you mean that the Glock's polymer frame is the only part with the serial number?
There are 3 matching serial numbers on a Glock, one on the barrel, the slide and the polymer frame.
Perhaps I misread what you meant.
.
>> “Untraceable” <<
And not transportable! (unless you’re looking for free lodging for a considerable period of time)
.
I would not spend 5 seconds trying to prove anything to some guy who just attacks someone out of the blue. What is your problem?
More than likely he didn't know about it. Believe it or not many of our gun laws would have never passed if it weren't for them being written before the internet. Now it's a lot tougher and getting tougher everyday. The gun control lie is being exposed.
That being said the fact the NRA was involved in writing legislation that infringed on 2nd amendment rights is troubling to say the least. The NRA should NEVER be involved in banning ANYTHING firearms related.
Our federal government and police are crazily armed to the teeth while they illegally restrict and infringe on the 2nd amendment rights of American citizens every day.
We are arguing over a digital file that can be used to create a single shot plastic gun while non military federal agents and state and local police run around with FULL AUTO MILITARY WEAPONS AND GRENADE LAUNCHERS.
Oh Noes! The libs have figured out sling shots and potato guns
What ever will we do?
The Libs love bananas, cuz they got no bones.. they love marijuana because it gets them stoned..
“The real issue is that anyone can now manufacture a gun for their own use”
We made zip guns out of car antennas in Jr.High that fired .22 shorts. That was 60 years before 3D printing. Just sayin’!
Steel barrel due to incredibly high pressure. Aluminum would burst. Ceramics will fracture and explode.
I saw today 4 plastic 3d printed firearms were detected this year in airports.
Any wagers if they were TSA plants?
This whole thing is a joke, meant to scare the chilruns.
CNC and CAD have been around for a very long time.
>
Except that many of the gun plans call for 3D METAL milling machines.
You are absolutely correct! I can now purchase a milling machine and produce an AR15 for under a 1/2 million each. Wow, what a deal. I guess I would have to paint it black for it to be scary though.

Alright, there, Capt. Hyperbole.
We all can BUILD a CNC mill for and complete 80% for considerably cheaper than $.5M/ea
Hell, even buying a CNC mill itself ranges from the low 100’s+ and can take a slab to a working weapon for the cost of learning a skill, maintenance & electricity.
Hell, wasn’t the AK-47 to be cheap/easy to manuf. using tools around the home

S*, I can run down to the local hardware store and buy enough piping to make a few manual (re)load for < $50.
That has always been the case.
Ky long rifle, Grease gun, but in 1934 the kinda put the kibosh on making full auto in the garage.
But this hoohaw about plastic printed guns is a joke, designed to go after the real ones.
Not quite. The liberator is 100% plastic except for the firing pin, which is a nail.

That being said, it is illegal to create one and assemble it without inserting 3.7 ounces of metal into the grip.
18 USC 922(p) has been the law since 1988.
The ABS Liberator will only be good for 5-10 shots before it fails.
With a metal insert, these can last longer.
“Shall not be infringed” was not a suggestion.
