It's ex post facto and thus unconstitutional.
A ninth grade civics class could tell anyone that.
Or it used to be able to, anyway.

It's ex post facto and thus unconstitutional. Couldn't remember the term from my ninth or tenth grade civics class. Too long ago and I'm getting ready to try and go back to sleep after waking up an hour ago. Too damn' early.
Thanks for your post, I can stop my google search for it now and hopefully rest easy. :-)

Lautenberg amendment made DV conviction a disqualifying event for posession. Thousands were disarmed years after the fact. law challenged as ex post facto. Court ruled that the legislature changing punishment is not an ex post facto event.
Just saying, don't expect the courts to follow the law or constitution when the law is taking guns away.

It's ex post facto and thus unconstitutional. You say that like it matters.
