Dry Leaf Medical Marijuana Available To Pennsylvanians Next Week
HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) - Medical marijuana in dry leaf and flower form will be available to registered patients in Pennsylvania for the first time, beginning next week.
Gov. Tom Wolf's office said dry leaf cannabis will be available at about a dozen dispensaries starting Aug. 1.
More dispensaries will offer the dry leaf and flower form over the coming weeks. The Health Department is expected to announce which dispensaries are carrying it sometime next week.
The change was recommended by an advisory panel and accepted by Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine in April, in theory to allow users to vaporize and inhale dry leaf.
Pennsylvania's medical marijuana law prevents dispensaries from selling marijuana that's designed to be smoked.
The change is expected to offer a more affordable form of the medicine.
Governor Wolf believes that the introduction of dry leaf will mean more options and lower costs for many consumers, and demonstrates Pennsylvanias commitment to maximize the impact, accessibility and benefits of our medical marijuana program for patients in need, the governor's office said in a statement Friday.
Dry leaf?
*cough*
Ok.
Is that like dry garlic?
Don’t know why anyone would consume leaf. Compared to flowers, it’s got lower everything. And it tastes like dirty underpants.
Nobody wants to vape dirty underpants. Unless you’re in Japan and get your dirty underpants vape cart in a vending machine.
Ew. Leaf?
This is not 1970....and we aren’t all in elementary school.
Confusing terms, but they just mean it will be available in plant form. Up until now, it had to be converted into concentratd forms for vape pens, etc. This cuts out the middle man and lowers cots. Plant product of varying potency will still be available.
Picked up one of those LA Kush vape carts a few weeks ago. Wanted something a little more discreet.
Yeah...those things will bust your lungs wide open.
Discreet was what I wanted.
What happened: Took a little puff. Coughed uncontrollably for like 6 minutes. Like cancer patient cough.
Imma pass on these vape things. Been 2 weeks. Still have more than 3/4 of it left.
Not sure how anyone hits these things regularly.
....dang. Beer’s empty. brb.
Just checking in to see how the future residents of the plantation are doing.
LOL
What does that even mean?
De Ganja! I say that eet ees a tool of slavery, mon! Slaaaaavery!

Slaaaaavery, mon!

Everybody around me is already incapable.
Most of my ingestion is CBD...muscle cramps. No psychoactive component at all.
I do enjoy a good head change. And, hell....with the average IQ being 80. I can enjoy a few without worry of becoming disabled.
I got 60+ points to spare.
I understand. My preaching is for the young folks who are still healthy except for being fat, mis-educated, sexually confused, lazy and looking like side show freaks. Get ‘em cleaned up and producing, so they can own nice, little houses with white picket fences, get hitched and have gobs of kids.
;-)
Nobody has a degree. We all learn as we go.
Preach on!
Legalization was a bad thing for people with developing minds.
Legalization was a great thing for those of us with old crusty minds.
Young brains should not be experiencing THC.
Ban cigarettes, push pot. That is NOT the role of government!
Good for the mmj patients in Pennsylvania.
For your interest.
Thanks for the ping. See post #15. :)
Yeah, well, as the United Negro College Fund says, it’s a terrible thing to lose your mind and shit.
It’s commendable that Pennsylvania is addressing the issue of pain management. As long as all legalities are followed.
