I mean, they all look alike, right?
My daughter-in-law is Japanese. Every time we go to a Japanese restaurant she’ll take one look at the staff (all Asian) and say, “They’re not Japanese.” And she thinks it’s funny that I can’t tell the difference. However, she is sometimes mistaken for Korean in Korean restaurants, so I guess the differences are pretty subtle.
Yep. I think to put it in perspective, it would be like your Asian wife calling you German or Scandinavian, but you are French. I can’t imagine that happening unless she doesn’t know you very well.
