You are right. As you know the family, and ginger, have been active for a long time. A year or so I recall reading an article bemoaning the fact that Ahed, who looks like a westerner, wasn’t adopted by the western media as they expected. They don’t understand that to the western media palestinians are the classic “others”, the last natives to be abused by European colonialists, aka Israel. Europe no longer being evil colonialists. And ignoring the fact that until the fall of the Soviet Union, Israel was majority Sephardic. Immigrants from Arab countries. Just like Arab muslims who immigrated to get jobs provided by Jewish immigration. A palestinian who looks like she’s from Greece, or worse a Jewish kid from New York isn’t sympathetic. She should straighten the hair, die it black and spend more time in the sun to be sympathetic.
