In the 1980s, my roommate and I obsessively played Statis Pro Football, an Avalon Hill NFL board game.

Each NFL player was scored with different numbers to indicate how effective they were on the field. For example, a defensive player would have a score of effectiveness against the run between -3 (worst) and +3 (best). If the RB ran against a defensive player with, say, a -2 score, the RB would add 2 yards to the run.

Running against a D player with a +1 rating would mean the RB would lose a yard, because that D player was better against the run than the -2 rated D player.

On my team, I had a LB named Dave Klug, who played for the KC Chiefs in 1982. His rating was 0 (zero), which means he didn’t add OR subtract to the yardage gained by the RB.

I look at these RINOs as the Dave Klugs of the congress.

Would I rather have a +3 guy? Of course. But, if the alternative is a -3 Dem, the 0 is far better.

The 0 will plug the hole until someone better comes along.

I get it and agree. Many here are blind as bats and declare war on their RINO rep. The alternative is Trump getting impeached, but they don’t care.
