Great point about all those so called snakes (which they are) is why we have Neil Gorsuch on SCOTUS. And also why we will have Bret Kavanaugh next.
But every democrat voted against Gorsuch except a couple who were in states where Trump won by a landslide.
O’Donnell is yet another anecdote. We need to pick the most conservative candidate in the primaries. There are going to be mistakes like Moore and O’Donnell but is it purely hypothetical to say the RINO would have won in those cases. RINOs are attacked even more by the media and instead of fighting back like Trump they genrally cave.
These are anecdotes. It does not mean there should be a rule that we should pick the RINO. That's what the left/media want.
That is not what I suggested. My recommendation was to follow what our great president Ronald told us, that he votes for the most conservative WHO CAN WIN IN GENERAL.
Of course we all would prefer sterling conservative candidates all the time. No one here particularly like RINO’s. But without those RINO senators Neil Gorsuch would still be a judge and not a justice. I am not counting on democrats to vote for Kavanaugh either.
“Remember a few misguided Republicans voted for Bill Clinton because it would teach an obvious lesson that he is so horribly corrupt and evil that next time Americans will all vote GOP. It didnt work, of course. Dems just got more powerful and indomitable and NO lessons were learned.”
BINGO! And the same bunch here at FR will be preaching the same crap, trying to get people to vote their conscience or whatever hogwash they are selling to keep people from voting RINO.
To me it’s simple, a RINO is the lesser of two evils.
FU. Bannon is not an idiot, you are.
Primaries are RINO season.
Dick head McConnell f’d up Alabama. How quickly we forget.
but in general, yes, weve got to roll with the team we have until the next opportunity
Sadly hes right we have to show up to the polls, this is going to be a presidential election scale turn out on the left.
We got VERY lucky with Trump, I doubt we’ll be that lucky again.
The problem is, with few exceptions, you can't know who will win in the general. Are you supporting Corey Stewart? Or are you going to gleefully add him to your list based on smears by the Washingon Post?
Oh, the drama of Puritans. So purified they wont fight, but willing to cost us the General who will. LOL!
No wonder conservatives woke up one day and found the country on the edge of a cliff.
This collection of bombastic, self righteous and highly principled pusses would stupidly and proudly lend the USA the final shove, and think they did the nation a favor.
Obviously, the dumbing down of Americans is complete.
They were all universally attacked by the GOPe and many self righteous Freepers. Hannity did real damage to Roy Moore as did all they lying opportunists that seem to have disappeared.
The attacks on Donald Trump by his 16 opponents in primaries AND attacks on him by other establishment GOP were bigger by orders of magnitude than anything Roy Moore suffered.
Do you see the difference between Trump and Moore? Trump has charisma and Moore has none. Trump has attracted overflowing crowds of 10,000 to 100+ rallies and kept them eatoing out of his palm. Roy Moore has the charisma of a sick cat.
My point is, conservative principles alone are not enough to win in hardball of politics. One must possess the magnetic personality and charm to attract voters.
If republicans wish to keep majorities, they better pick their candidates carefully.
You are not very astute in knowing which candidate can win and which won’t. Reason Trump prevailed over 16 seasoned republicans in primary and over the smartest woman in America (as defined by democrats) because of one reason more than other reasons. It is his ability to attract crowds and make them love him. Roy Moore has the charisma of a sick cat.
If you had attended one of his 100+ rallies, you would have the answer. I attended his rally during primaries in Washington State (a solid blue state) and when the rally was over, I already knew Trump was going to win in general. I have never seen 10,000+ people cheering their guts off for any other politician. Trump has amazing presence and charisma.
Yes, sir, all that is true and as worrisome as ever.
For me, though, it’s one thing at a time. Vote R in November and try to deal with the RINOs in the next primaries.
