Or folks who never marry for whatever reason. The are absolutely correct that there is a demographic winter coming.
Perhaps four children per family will come into vogue in Italy but I doubt it.
As an aside, I have observed that couples with children and grandchildren tend to be happier. Your mileage may differ.
Don’t confuse rationality with the behavior of the bottom of the intelligence chart. It is getting dumber and dumber while the upper portion of the intelligence chart is getting more intelligent.
