The publisher of the New York Times said Sunday he implored President Donald Trump at a private White House meeting this month to reconsider his broad attacks on journalists, calling the presidents anti-press rhetoric not just divisive but increasingly dangerous.
In a statement, publisher A.G. Sulzberger said he decided to comment publicly after Trump revealed their off-the-record meeting to his more than 53 million Twitter followers on Sunday. Trumps aides had requested that the July 20 meeting not be made public, Sulzberger said.
[snip] Had a very good and interesting meeting at the White House with A.G. Sulzberger, Publisher of the New York Times. Spent much time talking about the vast amounts of Fake News being put out by the media & how that Fake News has morphed into phrase, Enemy of the People. Sad! Trump wrote.
Sulzberger, who succeeded his father as publisher on Jan. 1, said his main purpose for accepting the meeting was to raise concerns about the presidents deeply troubling anti-press rhetoric.

Boo. Hoo. They can dish it out, but they can’t take it just like all bullies do.
What he meant is that trump just takes hits from media and not return fires like other republican presidents or politicians
I would ask whoever this guy is (don’t care, forgot as soon as I scrolled down): when are YOU going to start behaving responsibly? The media along with a lot of high-rankers on both sides of the congressional aisle, as well as the intelligence community, tried to throw the last election, why should the people and Trump, who caught the brunt of it, give you any credence? Respect goes both ways, jerk.
F**k you, buddy. Try eliminating the absolute Trump hatred. Well wait.
It goes further back than that. According to Wikipedia, "little punch" is the great-great-grandson of Adolph Ochs (March 12, 1858 April 8, 1935) American newspaper publisher and former owner of The New York Times and The Chattanooga Times (now the Chattanooga Times Free Press).
Its also really rich considering how they not so surreptitiously lead the charge in cahoots with the likes of Maxipad Waters calling for harassment of people who work for President Trump.
Times publisher BEGS Trump to reconsider anti-media rhetoric.
Trump 1 = Media 0
They didn’t make him and can’t brake him they dug their own grave.
Ronnie gives thumbs up
Yes, they should talk to Steve Scalise about the results of violent rhetoric. They helped make that happen.
The can’t stand or handle the fact that Trump is punching back. In their mind, that is not the way its supposed to be. They want him to be a “gentleman” like GWB and just take all their punches and say “Thank you Sir — may I have another?”
You’re exactly right. A few months ago, Showtime aired a multi-part documentary showing how the NYT covered the Trump Administration starting soon after inauguration. These people see themselves on a mission to discover the truth that they imagine exists somewhere and that fits their worldview. Dogged and deluded they are.
Sulzberger’s parent or grandparents converted out of Judaism a LONG time ago.
(And I know you don’t think politics is transmitted in the genes...)

No, but I think that Jews tend to be very activist people, and unfortunately, the one’s you see on the nightly news and in political positions of power, are almost never conservative. David Horowitz and a few others come to mind, but when you look at those who served Obola, they were hard-core Marxists, which I find surprising given what Marxism has done to the Jews during my lifetime. The other thing is that many are duplicitous. Just look at Rod Rosenstein, and the President’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen. Somehow I couldn’t f*ck my client or my country.
Finally, tell me how a SCOTUS with nine members, has no Christians, but it has three Jews, when Jews represent 2% of the population, and 5 Catholics and one Episcopalian when collectively, they represent 25% of the population?
The noive!
My tag line says it all
Wonder what the response would have been if the question had been “can my child be friends with black people?”

America’s journalists are indeed the enemy of the American state and the arch-enemy of the American people. Anyone who’s been paying attention has known this for years. Their attacks on this country and its people have gotten much worse since PDT’s election, true, but journos have been deadly enemies of the American people for many decades.
The “journalists” are all just pawns of the major corporations.
