Thanks for that reply, which I didn’t see til this morning .. hope you’re not in the path of that monster.
Given that there’ve already been fatalities, the @hole who purposely started it should be hanged.
Thank you for your response...
I am not in the path but Family and friends are, Redding is a part of my family heritage an I have heard from them that they are safe and ask for prayers for others
The fire itself may have been started by an automobile issue but points out a much larger one and that is forestry management. The underbrush has built up for too many years and so when the inevitable fire comes the results are much worse. The cycles of nature have been going on forever and a part of nature, whether by human error or lightning strikes the fires refresh and replenish the forest and life returns.
This fire is a distraction. How did it spread so far and so fast into private property, without local Democrats ignoring all the standard prevention methods? After all, it's Republicans burning, not anyone important. The Left sees this as a crisis they can profit from.
Morality is a luxury, in a war. And, we are in a war, to the knife.
Hah - total dodge of my points / questions.
Call it a war if you wish - you (and perhaps the rest of us if we get successfully lumped in with you and your ISIS-like mindset) will LOSE with 95% of the populace opposed to you.
You also display immense ignorance about the fire itself. Granted I have some advantage — a close family member who had over 65 years of experience in Forest Ecology and Forest Management (and also fought some forest fires many years ago), and I also had a neighbor more recently who was one of the guys who goes around the country getting work fighting wildfires. But, still, this stuff is VERY easily researched on the web. The fast spread of the Carr fire is due to forest mismanagement, underbrush building up, wind, and hot, dry conditions. Very simple. With fires going on all over the region, resources are stretched thin. Moreover, despite the media hype, this fire is not even highly unusual in it’s rate of spread. The Thomas fire, scant months ago, burned more area in the 1ST 3 DAYS (115,000 acres) than this fire has to date. Aside from lives lost, the Thomas fire is actually the more impressive (in a bad way) event.
The Left does not WANT these areas to burn. If it keeps up, people will have to leave, and the Dems will lose a nice chunk of their tax base. Plus, their mismanagement will become ever more obvious, and they sure can’t say they’ve helped many endangered species.
What IS at work, is stupidity: Not listening to professional Forest Managers due to “environmental concerns”.
